Dave Roberts: Trevor Bauer still slated to start for Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday

Trevor Bauer, embroiled in controversy in the wake of sexual assault allegations, is still on track to make his next scheduled start on Sunday, Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said. That start will come in Washington, D.C., the nation's capital, on the Fourth of July -- unless something changes over the next three days.

"As of now, we're kind of in the middle of letting the commissioner's office, Major League Baseball, handle this," Roberts said from D.C. on Thursday, adding that Bauer is with the team and was getting ready to play at Nationals Park. "It's in their hands right now, and right now, our direction was to just move forward and not do anything as far as the player or Trevor, so our plan is he is gonna start on Sunday."

Los Angeles Dodgers' Trevor Bauer placed on 7-day administrative leave amid sexual assault allegations

Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer, facing allegations of sexual assault, was placed on seven-day administrative leave by Major League Baseball on Friday, a decision that will prevent him from making his scheduled start on Sunday.

Administrative leave, adopted under a joint domestic violence policy between MLB and the MLBPA, is not considered a suspension; the player still gets his full salary despite not participating in games.

MLB can request an extension of seven additional days with consent from the MLB Players Association. Doing so would keep Bauer off the field through the All-Star break, buying more time for an ongoing investigation.

Happy Bobby Bonilla Day!

Another $1.2 million payment courtesy of the best contract ever. He's 58 and still has 14 more of them coming.

Bobby Bonilla Day explained: Why the Mets still pay him $1.19M today and every July 1

In 2000, the Mets agreed to buy out the remaining $5.9 million on Bonilla's contract.

However, instead of paying Bonilla the $5.9 million at the time, the Mets agreed to make annual payments of nearly $1.2 million for 25 years starting July 1, 2011, including a negotiated 8% interest.

Here are some other notable deferred-money contracts, courtesy of ESPN Stats & Information's Ryan Milowicki:

• Bobby Bonilla (again): A second deferred-contract plan with the Mets and Orioles pays him $500,000 a year for 25 years. Those payments began in 2004.

• Bret Saberhagen: Will receive $250,000 a year from the Mets for 25 years (payments also began in 2004; this was the inspiration for Bonilla's deal).

• Max Scherzer: Will receive $105 million total from the Nationals that will be paid out through 2028.

• Manny Ramírez: Will collect $24.2 million total from the Red Sox through 2026.

• Ken Griffey Jr.: Will receive $3.59 million from the Reds every year through 2024 as the deferral from his nine-year, $116 million deal signed in 2000.

• Todd Helton: Will get $1.3 million from the Rockies every year through 2023 as the result of $13 million deferred when he signed a two-year extension in 2010.

"...on two different occasions."

I find it plausible that she did request "rough sex", because if it was so unpleasant the first time why would you get with him the second time?
Those that advocate for victims would say something like the victim is allowed to make whatever decision they want and should not be judged by those decisions. Everybody does things for different reasons, and people generally don't go through their life seeking to make the most logical decisions in order to please critics.
