MLB General Discussion (Official Thread)

So apparently Astros assistant GM Taubman has nothing better to do than repeatedly shout praise for the closer who blew the save in Game 6 immediately after the game. Exactly what any perfectly stable man would do, right?

I remember the Astros cheating in the playoffs vs Cleveland last season by having a minion in the press bay filming the opposing dugout to steal signs.

That being said, go Nats!

Sportsbooks are setting the line for Game 1 like it is an automatic win for the Astros, they are a huge -200 favorite. Max Scherzer is starting opposite Gerrit Cole. Cole hasn't lost since July, but laying -200 against Scherzer and this Nats lineup is ridiculous.

Feels like a game the Nats steal late

The problem area for the Nats this year has been their bullpen. So long as they can limit their relief innings, they can win it. But inevitably there will be 2-3 games over the course of 7 where they have to turn to some of their less reliable pitchers. It is a tough series to win for either side, but since Cole is practically unbeatable, the Astros have a bit of an edge.
