He would get DESTROYED by Ortiz.
Ortiz would have him beat within 2 minutes.
Ortiz has trained for years and has a better wrestling and martial arts background.

I'm not saying Kimbo won't be a good fighter because I have not seen him face an actual MMA fighter. And Tito Ortiz would destory Kimbo. Terrible matchup for him.

Kimbo does have some impressive physical tools to work with, I just think he got into the game too late. The grapplers and jiu-jitsu guys would eat him alive right now. We all saw what Frank Mir did to Brock Lesnar at UFC 81. I know Lesnar has a highly-decorated NCAA wrestling background, which makes his transition to MMA a little smoother. Lesnar's brute physical strength was not enough to overcome his inexperience with the technical aspects on the ground though. I think it would the same for Kimbo.
I realize Kimbo's been working on his ground skills almost exclusively in order to become a well-rounded fighter. I hope at some point though he'll face a guy that will challenge him enough to use some of those skills. Tank's not going to be that guy.
I enjoy Kimbo for what he is though.

LOL he beat 43 yr. old who lost 7 of his last 8 fights. Lesnar would kill him, Tito would embarrass him, etc. The guy can punch, but he can't beat a legit experienced MMA fighter. I think everyone knows that judging by the guys they are putting him in with. He is still a sideshow until he beats someone of consequence. I've always liked them
I'd really like to see Kimbo against someone with a BJJ background or a least some ground fighting skills. Doesn't have to be an elite guy in ground fighting just someone whose going to try to take the fight to the ground.

how can anyone know that yet though? His fights have lasted about a combined 1:30. Can he fight a 3 round fight if needed? Can he defend himself on the ground vs. a BJJ fighter?
