Missouri 36, Kansas 28 (Final)

I really don't think experience is going to matter when you got a big time QB and when these two teams have played already this season.

Mizzou's team has never played for a B12 Championship, let alone play one for a birth in the National Championship game. That's pressure they just aren't going to be used to dealing with.

Big Game experience is important imo and OU has a lot more of it, players and staff. People have a natural tendancy to tighten up in these situations.Think how many times in 2002 and 2003 we just sat back and watched the other team crumble when it got down to nut cutting time.

Lets hope it affects Mizzou the way we want.

You mentioned OU's big-game experience, but let me point out some things:

1. Their freshman QB did not fare well in his big game in the spotlight- hell, he barely lasted a few minutes!

2. OU is not invincible when away from Norman- on the road, they're not quite the same team.

haha that's my point Jaxbuck. Unless a bowl game vs. South Carolina counts as a big game, how much experience did the '02 team really have?

While I agree with you that OU has been there and done that, I think games like this also come down to going into the game with confidence and smelling blood. That's why I would love nothing more than for this game to end in as a sloppy affair with the score relatively close.

Getting hit in the head going for a fumble and getting a concussion from it was due to inexperience? Did I just read that right?

The point I was making is that OU's overall team and especially their staff have a lot of experience in games like this and thats usually considered a plus.

No one is invincible anywhere. All I have said is that overall OU is likely the favorite and we can't ask for much more than that.

Stoops and his staff are on par with JT and his. JT's coaching prepared that '02 team to handle the pressure when it came.

None of us know for sure but from what we have to go on I'd wager Stoops has his team further ahead in this category than the Mizzou staff.

Errr no, he was going to recover a fumble and ended up with a concussion. That has very little to do with "big game experience", just look at what he's done against teams like Texas and Oklahoma State this year....

2. OU is not invincible when away from Norman- on the road, they're not quite the same team.

Acrually, I was referring to how he played before the injury- a three-and-out and making the stupid decision to go after the fumble.

He should have known better- don't risk getting hurt on the fumble. He should not have risked trying to recover the ball anyway.

THAT is what I meant.

Nothing like going "off the record" on a live TV broadcast.

Haha, I heard that too. I laughed, I must say.

Did he say that he wanted to see OSU in Pasadena? He's lying if that's what he said. I couldn't hear what he said exactly.

Kansas isn't giving up...
