Seriously, you're in essentially a sudden death playoff. Why not rely on your dominant closer, who owns Detroit BTW, to get the last six outs? I don't get why managers (not just Gardenhire, it's league-wide) are so terrified of using their closers outside the 9th inning. Goose Gossage used to pitch 2-3 innings to get his saves. Fucking pussies.
