Can say the same. Already said Tate is appropriate at times. Can't rely on that. Need to utilize the strengths already on the field like corner fades and quick slants. Arguing in circles
I just don’t see need to put ball in air when we have the talent to move the ball forward 3 feet and it’s a Meyer comfort zone.
I feel like the answer is obvious....it’s just about incorporating it and
Well i definitely think they need to work on the fade. It worked well last year. Same with slants. Obviously I'd rather be able to run it in though.
At times I think Tate would work really well in those packages, but you have to be excellent at executing them and quickly subbing in the right personnel. It might be that they're just not comfortable with execution yet.
Either way the OL still has to improve to really make difference in short yardage.
We just aren’t having same discussion honestly.....a fade route on 3rd and 1 on the opponents 40 is a terrible percentage play. JT would convert that 95% of the time on a RB dive or QB wham.
We are getting bogged down in short yardage far too often inside the opponents 50 yard line.
I’m not advocating making a QB change. I’m advocating in a specific situation, pitting a QB in who can duplicate what JT brought to the table to move the chains.
It’s quute simple. I hope Meyer goes in the direction.
