I didn't say people were condoning it. But what jwins said is dead on. This is 10 times worse than what PacMan did. It's just disgusting.

It's human to assign levels of "badness" to these acts, but honestly if the NFL (meaning Goodell) has any kind of scale to differentiate shooting at another human being and dog-fighting, the problem is much worse than we already know.

pac man didn't shoot anybody. you don't need a scale to differentiate between some dumbass who just isn't smart enough to keep his nose out of trouble, and somebody who organizes a huge dog fighting ring. it takes a very sick/scary person to do what we all know Mike Vick did/is doing.

Oh I agree. Both are wrong. Throw the book at both of them. I don't have a problem at all.

But I guess I'm just being cynical when I say that the NFLPA won't hang Vick out to dry.

As much as you might want to call me a homer and what not, we live in a world where the media will blow things out of proportion, ESPN needs things to talk about as baseball just doesnt fill enough time for them...We also live in a world where you are innocent until proven guilty and until then and we get some sort of evidence instead of grasping for straws type evidence, can we hold off from calling him a sick and scary person...

Exactly.

Pacman and his incidents were due mostly to him just making bad decisions and hanging out with the wrong people. Getting in gun fights at clubs and assaults are serious, but i'm sure a lot of what he did was not premeditated in a large part, and him just being an idiot. Vick actually went through the whole process of having a house to do all of this at, and setting up those back houses hidden away in the woods, painted black, and all of the operations necessary to host dog fights to a high level. The planning and well-knowing of what he was doing is frightening.

At least let them declare that dog fighting even took place to say things like this, but this is why there is news b/c they know people will eat it up b/c people are ready to crucify Vick...

We don't know anything about the situation, besides the facts that I posted earlier...People were saying the same thing against us a couple years ago and people still call us tO$U and shit like that b/c of the way the media blew that situation out of control...

They couldnt even get a search warrant to search the property after there were some false reports of a bunch of dogs that were buried...The judge said no...

I realize your point about people wanting to crucify Vick, and agree with you that it probably is true, but I think that its hard to say that Vick was/is not involved in dog fighting. The evidence found at his house is too convincing to not believe that he was atleast involved.

I understand that you are innocent until proven guilty, but let's face it, Vick was involved in some shady activities at some level, and this story is not just coming out of thin air.

I know it's hard because he's on your team and is one of your favorite players, but I think you have to take the blinders off on this one.

A magistrate has approved a search warrant. It's just that the prosecutor has decided not to execute it. If you are going to deny that we can even say dog fighting occurred, well...

Got a link for the search warrant, they had an interview with Pointdexter about them not allowing the search warrant...

Find me where I said that dog fighting didnt happen...I am just putting it out there that they still have to work on putting the case together, for that...There isnt much evidence out there, to really make a strong case on dog fighting going on...There is evidence, like blood stains, one dog with scars, couple that were underfed and the treadmills and rape toy or whatever it is called...

that's very true. i bet the pitbulls were just pets, the mini treadmills were for midgets, the lowered squares that resembled mini gladiator rings were just emptied hot tubs, the blood splattered all over walls/ceilings/air conditioners was just paint, the carpets that were rolled up with blood all over them were really just there so the paint didn't drip into the emptied hot tubs, the steroids that were there were just for barry bonds......

I'm sure there are just 836 coincidences going on here.
