Mike Vick (Pittsburgh Steelers)

As for me Vick can stay or go in Atl., I don't care. I was a Falcon fan before Vick and will be one when he leaves. I say trade him to the Raiders for the 1st pick, Al Davis loves these kind of guys.
That right there says more about Mike Vick than all of the previous 696 posts combined.

And I'm unimformed? You get called out for bringing up Mora and then you don't want to talk about it anymore.

Whats left to say? You said he isn't even NFL caliber and to think so is "laughable". I pointed out what a wildly unrealistic exaggeration that was(otherwise known as hyperbole). I never said he was great, but he is beyond a shadow of a doubt NFL caliber.

To answer your question I know Denny Green was asked to interview with the Raiders and turned down the opportunity. So there is one guy this year that was fired and could have interviewed for another job.

One guy is asked to interview(according to you) and you equate that to getting another job the same year he is fired? See my above point on wild exaggeration and massive leaps of logic. The simple fact is that it is highly unusual for anyone to get another NFL HC gig the same year they are fired from another one.

You are obviously clueless on the Falcons situation

Anyone who disagrees with you is clueless and ignorant based on what I saw from your posting history. I'll take it as a compliment given the source.

Whatever, if he wins games I don't care.

Let us know when that starts

It started awhile ago according to his winning %. As for clueless and uninformed I would be willing to bet since I have watched every game that he ever started in the NFL that I have a little more knowledge on the Falcons situation than most on here. Other than 40 I don't know anyone that watches the Falcons evry Sunday. For you to speak of the Falcons like you know all their problems and all the owner has done wrong is, well pretty silly. As for NFBuck's :end thread:, unfortunately no such luck.

Sorry forgot about this...Denny Green wasn't asked to interview according to me, it was according to the NFL Network, ESPN, SI, etc.... I am pointing out that you made a comment about who ever gets an interview the year they are fired, I pointed out a coach that just got that opportunity this year, it also has happened in past years. Really isn't that unusual.

Talk about wild exaggeration and massive leaps of logic... he was a good coordinator, little else. Care to explain your claim about why it's undisputable that he's NFL caliber as a HC?

11-5 his first year, 2 winning seasons out of 3 with Ron Mexico as his QB. Once again, I didn't say he was great, just that he obviously posses the skill sets to compete/coach at the NFL level. Is that clear enough or are we going to continue to go after the straw man and ignore the main point?

facts off again. 11-5, 8-8, 7-9. 1 winner, 1 loser, 1 even.

Reading comprehension is such a crucial skill. I stated in plain english that most coaches do not get hired for another NFL gig the same year they were fired from another. Therefore, using Mora Jr's lack of another immediate NFL HC job as proof positive he isn't "NFL caliber" is faulty logic. Pretty simple concept.

If you can produce a list of names showing more guys rehired the same year as a firing than not, I'll gladly admit I was wrong on that assumption. My guess is it will be much easier to keep going the ND Chief route and throw straw man after straw man out there to get away from the original point.

Nor is fact finding your specialty (see previous post). My logic isn't based on whether he got an interview or not, it is the fact that the last two years the Falcons completely stumbled the 2nd half of the season. Why is that? Seems like a bad trend to me. For the record, I never blamed everything on Mora, I actually feel Mora wasn't as big of a problem as Greg Knapp's offense.

As pointed out, he's had 1 winning season in 3 tries (hardly proof of being NFL caliber)... yet that win percentage is a negative when discussing Vick. Makes sense to me :roll1:

Guess Holmgren didn't consult with you guys on Mora Jr not being an NFL caliber coach.

Mora hired as Seahawks as assistant head coach

My point still stands. Vick is indeed a coach killer.
