I know Vick makes to much money to move, but I still believe that the Falcons would be better off moving Vick to a Shot Ginn, Slash type of player than the starting QB. I feel sorry for Jenkins when the announcers talk about how all of the Falcons problems are due to them not having good WR's. Maybe if they had a QB that could throw the ball the WR's would be better. If Vick played for the Colts everyone would think their WR's suck to, but if Manning played for the Falcons their WR's would look great.
BTW that TD to White last week was one of the worst throws I have ever seen in the NFL. Against anyone with a decent defense that is a pick or at the very least incomplete. It's easy for Vick to look good in the regular season when he is facing a crappy defense every other week. Lets see how he plays the next 3 weeks against 3 of the better D's in the NFC. I'll put my v$ that he will be sitting on his couch during the playoffs this season.

On that td, he got drilled when he let go of the ball.

He has been hurt and been wearing a sleave on his knee, last week was the first time he had it off in a number of weeks. The reason they were losing has nothing to do with the offense, it was mostly the defense who couldnt hold anyone. Hell the gave up 30 points to the Packers.

Well I am hoping the can finish 2-1. I think they can beat the Panthers at home and hopefully either the Bucs or the Bears. then we will see where that leaves them.

I have come to the understandment that people are always going to look at Vick as a bad qb b/c he doesnt have great throwing accuracy.

The injuries are part of the problem. It doesn't help you win games when your QB misses 2+ games a season because he gets hurt all the time. Sorry to rip off whoever said this, but Vick is Trent Dilfer with legs. If the Bears had any type of offense I would give the Falcons no chance to win this week, but I think Vick will have problems playing in Chicago in mid December. The Bucs and Panthers both have good D's and are fighting for the playoffs so those are going to be hard fought wins if the Falcons can pull them out. You might want to become a Colts or Pats fan for the playoffs.

I think that the Falcons can pull it off this weekend for the simple fact that the Bears don't have a very good offense. As long as Vick doesnt turn it over and give them good field position, I think Vick can give us a couple big plays.

Also usually Vick owns Carolina and especially at home, vice versa for the bucks, but they are probably going to need the win a little more than the other teams, unless they lose this week.

I don't think it's so much that Vick is horrible, rather that he is never going to be that classic 60% completion drop back passer that some people think he should be. I think as age gets on him though, he may have to be to stay in the league. I remember a lot of people used to think Brett Favre was a careless, reckless QB at one time, but he seems rather well respected now. Same for Steve Young in the Tampa Bay years.

Yeah and the think about both of them, neither one could make the plays that Michael makes with his feet.

thats one of his biggest problems, though. sure, he is an explosive offensive weapon and will make a few big plays in a game. but he turns the ball over way too much. 10 interceptions, 10 fumbles (4 lost) in 12 games. Compared with that, he has 13 passing TDs, and 6 rushing TDs. Thats 19 TDs, and 14 turnovers (not to mention dropped INTs,and i saw a few of them against NO, for example, and fumbles recovered by his team -all close calls for the defense to get a chance at the ball). In a game of ball control and field position, I wouldn't wanna have a guy who has the chance to make a bad decision and give the ball to the other team in scoring range, on any given play. The QB position, of any, is a position where you need stability and leadership. Get the RBs and WRs to make the explosive plays, and let the QB orchestrate the offense, not try to do it all himself.



-Peyton Manning: 27 passing TDs with only 8 INTs, in 13 games. 2 lost fumbles (out of 4, total). That is ball control, combined with stability, and scoring. That is what makes him the best.

Yeah, but Vick can't make 1/2 the throws those two can/could make, either...and I was never a big Steve Young fan.

I think Atlanta will have a good chance to win this week, because both Bears safeties are out, which will leave Crumpler open a lot and give Vick more room to run, because the backups suck. Problem for Atlanta is that they probably have to win out to make the playoffs.

Of course if Vick turns the ball over, they lose. If he doesn't, they have a great chance of winning.

Yeah well if you watched the Jets game you saw balls bouncing off the recievers hands and into Jets players arms. I am not saying he doesn't turn the ball over, but sometimes you are just unlucky.

They still have three games left... and last I checked it's really hard to not turn the ball over once in three games... especially if you're a QB... Manning's played 13 games, and turned the ball over 10 times... If you want one turnover in 3 games... then he'd need 4 turnovers in the season, so far... It's very difficult to not turn the ball over, every now and then if you're a QB. I do see your point, though. That and consistency seems to be Vick's biggest problem, but give the guy a break... he's been a starter in the NFL for four years, and only played three full seasons. The guy has a ton of potential, and he is a true playmaker. Once he starts trusting his arm and gains more confidence in his passing game, he will be downright explosive. I think the problem with Vick right now is the fact that he trusts his legs, more so than his arm. Give the guy time. He's still pretty young. If the Falcons make the playoffs this year I'd look for them to give whoever they play a run for their money.

Vick actually completes a pass for once...and it is to himself for a big loss. :slappy:
