I blame Mississippi medicine. I'm sure they used the best leeches that were available, but I can't help but think The Pirate would still be among us had they choppered him to the medical center at Ohio State or tsun or Northwestern Memorial.

Unless they are re-growing brain tissue that's been completely lost, I doubt it.

Unfortunately, if Mike Leach had what I assume he had (from the reporting) the massive coronary likely deprived his brain of both blood flow and oxygen for far too long.

This man truly was a national treasure. One of the last Head Coaches to say what he felt, and didn't care much for coach speak. You knew what you were getting with him when you hired him, on the field and off. He'll be sorely missed
