Last.fm is a nice bonus feature, it would be even better if it could play in-game.

Agreed, that would have been awesome. I wouldn't be surprised if they did this in a future update.

And the facebook thing is very weird to use, whatever, I probably won't use it on my 360 much anyways.

Has anyone had to replace their Xbox and transferred their saved data/music, etc. to a newer Xbox? I'm thinking of replacing my 360 with an Elite but I'd like to know how difficult moving the data will be.

Thanks in advance.

I went from the first 20gb XBox to an Elite. It's very easy. You can go to XBox's website and request a free "transfer kit", and they will send it to you. Then you just connect the two hard drives and transfer the data over to your new HD. I'd give you mine, but I have no idea where I put it after I transferred my HD.

You might have to call them and request a transfer kit.

How to transfer data from one Xbox 360 console to another by using the Hard Drive Transfer Kit

Thanks, man. Was there a noticeable difference with 1080p resolution?

I hooked it up on my brother's 1080p TV and did notice a difference. It's much more vibrant. My TV is only 720p, but the difference was very noticeable on it, too. The HDMI cord that comes with the Elite is horrible. It made the picture look better, but the sound was complete shit. Maybe I just got a bad one or something. I replaced it with a HDMI cord from Monoprice.com and haven't had a problem since.

Netflix seems to be offering a lot more HD instant movies... :cheers:
:banger:
Time for me to run some cable directly to the PS3. Using wireless was working alright for the DVD quality stuff that I was watching, but if Netflix is actually trying to offer a reasonable HD line-up, I'll have to plug it in.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l0pdYrQSFtY]YouTube - Game Room Trailer[/ame]
Microsoft's press release concerning the new Xbox Live service says the Game Room will be a "place to relive the glory days of arcade games", and over the next three years will see the release of "over 1000" retro titles. It'll also serve as a kind of "mini Home" for your 360 avatars, as each user will get their own arcade area that can be customised and, no doubt, upgraded (for the right price).

Interestingly, the Game Room will carry a two-tiered price structure. You can buy a game for between 240-400 Microsoft Points, or if you really want that old arcade feeling, you can pay 40 Microsoft Points and play the game once, like it was 1985 and you'd just dropped a quarter. Only, now it's two quarters.

It'll be out in the "Spring", and from here on we'll stop calling it "Xbox Game Room", as it'll be available for the PC as well.
The room & avatars are pretty overboard, but thousands of classic titles will be outstanding.
