Where Michigan State coach Mel Tucker's contract stands amid sexual harassment claims
Michigan State is on the hook to foot the bill for Tucker’s massive contract through 2032 unless Tucker broke one of three rules: materially breaching the contract, being convicted of a crime or if “the coach engages in any conduct which constitutes moral turpitude which, in the University’s reasonable judgment, would tend to bring public disrespect, contempt or ridicule on the University”.Tucker’s alleged transgressions against Tracy could fall into the third category of moral turpitude if he is found in violation of Title IX statutes in the October hearing. If that happens, Tucker could lose out on nearly $80 million, as well as other benefits in his contract, including access to a private plane and a $2 million life insurance plan.
Just sayin': Apparently to fire him "for cause" and void his $9.5M per year contract that runs through 2032 MSU has to wait until he is "officially" found in violation of Title XI in the October hearing, etc.

Suspended Michigan State coach Mel Tucker adamantly denied claims that he sexually harassed noted sexual assault awareness speaker Brenda Tracy in a statement on Monday, and called an upcoming hearing about the claims "a sham" and "ridiculously flawed."

Suspended Michigan State coach Mel Tucker adamantly denied claims that he sexually harassed noted sexual assault awareness speaker Brenda Tracy in a statement Monday and called an upcoming hearing about the claims "a sham."Tucker, in a statement issued Monday through his attorney Jennifer Belveal, said he developed an "intimate, adult relationship" with Tracy and that her claims that he harassed her are "completely false." He said an upcoming hearing to assess whether he violated university policy is "ridiculously flawed and not designed to arrive at the truth."
