Michigan chatter - 2005

Grady (or Hart if healthy).

The thing about The Game is that there is always one performance, one player, whether the hero or the goat, that you can point to as the decisive factor in the game, and almost always it's a person you don't expect.

After guys like Biakabutuka in '95 and Perry in '03, I've learned never to take a UM back lightly. Ohio State clearly has a better run offense and better run defense, so if history is any indicator those are precisely the two reasons why someone like Grady will wind up going for about 300 yards. :roll2:

I don't think he's going to hurt us most, but I still think Hart is their most talented palyer on the offensive side of the ball... if he's not heathly or effeetive, things get a lot easier for us.

Massaquoi worries me only in that we actually will have to remember to cover him.

Avant doesn't worry because, well... I think we might not even give him special attention, and he will get his yards... but I think it doesn't matter.(Edwards had a HUGE game against us last year, but it wasnt' a difference maker.)

I took Henne. His weakness last year was having big eyes when he saw the buzz saw coming at him. Now, he's a vet. If he gets time to throw, he can move the ball. I'm not sold on him as a great QB, don't get me wrong, but if he can toss the ball around at will, OSU may have some problems.

I must admit I like the way Hart runs, he doesn't go down easy. But, I also don't think Mike Hart is better than what OSU's D has been able to stop all season long.

Even when Hart has been healthy, Pittman still averaged over 25 more yards a game. Henne has taken a step back if you ask me, he doesnt know what this rivalry is all about...

Manningham more so than Breaston, don't disregard the running game, do not under-estimate Henne and, keep eyes open for what Massaquoi is doing, especially near the goal-line and on 3rd down.

But especially keep eyes on what our D does to stop all the above

hart scares me far and away the most. in every game he has not played, their offense was far than splendid. he steps in every game and plays his butt off.

also, scarletandgrey77, i dont think the time off will make him more fumble prone. i remember seeing stats on hart and he has fumbled all of like 2 times in his whole career(not sure aobut recent games as this stat was used towards the beginning of the season)
