MichaeLLLLL McCray (LB ttun)

You can't gauge interest from what scout.com says, but that said, I keep reading OSU has very little interest.

I don't get it, this kid is a top 100 talent, but hopefully their not offering can help Michigan land another top recruit.

I think the evaluation process for an offer might be a little more involved than "this kid is a top 100 talent."

I understand that, and I'm not trying to imply otherwise .. just that usually those guys are top guys, is all.

I like McCray but Rivals has him way too him imo. I'm a little surprised we haven't offered yet but then again, I am not. McCray is a tweener at two positions we stocked up on last year. We are only taking two LB's (supposedly) and I with Wad in thinking 1 DE, two at the very most and they have to be elite. I think McCray is a top 250 type talent, but I think Rivals wanted to be "different" when McCray got that high of a ranking...ie Jalin Marshall is ranked only 3 spots ahead of McCray and I don't think they are nowhere near that close. I also would have Thomas, Gibson, Lisle, and Price ahead of McCray at least (this is coming from a Dayton guy).

OSU hasn't offered because Meyer is building a team position by position. And at McCray's position, Meyer obviously feels pretty good about landing a couple of guys higher on the board even if the online recruiting services disagree. We fans care more about the "top 100" status than the coaches do.

Can't wait to hear delusional Michigan fans start spouting off with how Hoke put it to Meyer "again".

"Ohio State didn't offer because they knew he was ALL BLUE!" Blah...blah...blah.

Who's saying this ... almost every Michigan fan I know understands the situation.
