Once Dampier signs Miami will be a different team. While he isn't the best offensive weapon, the guy is massive and physical. He'll solve a lot of their issues in the paint defensively.

BTW, Dampier and his agent are being extremely smart. They'll milk every last penny out of Miami knowing they need him. There's a reason he hasn't signed yet...

Fuck Miami.

I thought the Heat were over the salary cap and the only way they could sign anyone is for the player to agree to a veteran minimum contract the amount of which is automatically determined by the players years of service.

Maybe the reason Dampier hasn't signed yet is because he still wants to see if he can get more money from some other team that can afford to pay more than Miami can.
