Miami (FL) Hurricanes (1926-2003)

http://www.gainesville.com/article/...itle=No-eligibility-issues-for-Debose-Patchan

"We have been in communication with the NCAA and there are no eligibility issues with Andre Debose and Matt Patchan as it relates to recent reports," UF said in a news release. "Andre, Matt nor the University of Florida will have any additional comments regarding this matter."

Orson Charles has also been cleared according to the Leg Humpers.

As to Coach Hill, no comment yet from UF.

I'll remind you that the Tat 5 was cleared by the NCAA to play in the Sugar Bowl.

These guys should Fry

These kids knew the rules. All D1 Scholarship athletes do. Conformance to the rules is the price you pay for your education, athletic training, competition and visibility into the pros.

The booze and food don't really bother me. Any drug use saddens me. The hookers and abortions [censored] me off as a husband and father of two girls (DD1 has 8 D1 scholarship offers as a soccer player). It all offends my moral sensibilities; but that is my problem because I have morals of the Ohio kid that I am inside and family is everything to me. The payments (cash, cars, rims, etc) cant be overlooked. But these guys committed the only unforgiveable sin IMHO; they took bounty payments to take away another athlete's potential.

They should fry in hell for that, because an NCAA "death penalty" isn't severe enough.

I wish Matt Patchan the best...

Patchan admitted to watching the BCS title show and he was somewhat happy with the outcome of one game in particular.

"I think the title game is great," Patchan exclaimed. 'One of the analyst said Ohio St. had the best offensive line in the country and that enraged me because Ohio State's offensive line is very big, fat and slow. I mean I wonder if they remembered last years title game.

"Honestly I do not think Ohio St. deserves to be in the title game," Patchan stated. "The best team they beat was maybe Michigan or Wisconsin and then they lost to Illinois. But who is Illinois? I feel like Ohio St. did not beat one powerhouse this season and they did nothing to impress me.

We meant the football team should get the death penalty, not the players.

They didn't kill anyone, I think that may be a bit harsh.

Eh, the 'bounty' was often offensive performance based...I know Rix and Tebow had 'KO' prizes but the 'bounty' aspect is overblown IMO.

You need to read all of the Defensive player bounties that were paid out. It sickens me... unforgivable IMHO. "Death Penalty" in my book only has to do with the program...not the kids individually.

Put the shoe on the other foot. What would the Miami players be demanding if they were being "targeted"?

You really believe "DA U" doesn't have targets? You really believe these 'bounties' are limited to Miami?

I will TELL you...right now, Miami is the only school that has a 'Shapiro' WILLING to tell the truth...or most of it minus the expected masculine exaggeration.

EVERY successful D-1 school HAS or HAS HAD a Shapiro.

It is not what is thought...it what can be PROVEN.

Well, except for the abortion thing. There are probably only a few schools at which boosters are paying for abortions.

You don't even have to pretend for that one.

You have your experiences, and I have mine. I lived in Steeb 77/78....played hockey for Jerry for one glorious month until my 3rd knee operation in 2 years...and I KNOW my contemporaries in football. I will repeat....KNOW them. knew Woody...knew coach Chaump...knew the guys. Never heard shit about bounties...ever. Not even from guys like Cousineau.

TELL me anything you want. You have your experiences and I have mine.
