Nah, they can't even afford recruits or to pre-install stripper poles in the donor suites at Miami. How are they going to buy into the SEC? :p

By the way, it appears the role of Miami's sugar daddy is now open. Any guesses on who takes the job?

What the hell. "May"? "Possibly?" I know that we should give this the same level of skepticism that we gave Yahoo and SI initially when they started to report on Ohio State, but...

WHEN HAS ESPN EVER USED "MAY" or "POSSIBLY" WHEN COVERING OHIO STATE, OTHER THAN "MARK MAY THINKS OHIO STATE MAY POSSIBLY RECOVER FROM DEATH PENALTY IN FIFTEEN YEARS, AND THAT'S TOO SOON"?

Instead, it's been a crucifixion mob at every turn...

While I worry about Hill's activities the last half year, I'll note that he was hired in January of this year. My fear that we launch him (and I do not see how we cannot) and it hurts out current outstanding recruiting year is far, far outweighed by the threat to the program if he is that tainted.

And let me remind everyone, he was not just a Miami coach, he was the f-ing recruiting coordinator the last year of Wandy Shannon's empire. In fact, it was his supposed contacts with South Florida/Dade Broward coaches/recruits that made him such a valuable hire.

Hill is a former Gator player who coached at Duke, Elon and Pitt before coming to Miami. I hate it that he wound up in Miami and got caught up in what they say is a decade long or more culture of corruption. Hard to see how he can be clean in this, given his status as recruiting coordinator. Black eye for us. Perhaps a lucky break too. If we launch him after eight months, the down-side of his having broken any rules during his tenure will be less than if he had a long string if success recruiting in South Florida using methods that Coach Boom might not have known or approved.

We will see indeed.
