I fully agree, but there were many OSU fans mad at Frye for not landing more 5star OL, like Okunla or David Sanders and almost expected to throw massive dollars at them. But I guess that also leads to your 2nd point... Because right now it looks like the Frye strategy worked

It wasn’t like he didn’t try to land them. He wanted them and missed. That was the heart burn.

It wasn’t strategy, it was the backup plan worked out.
