Miami (FL) Hurricanes (1926-2003)

I still can’t understand how anybody thought Cristobal + Gattis was going to produce anything other than this.

That fanBase has been trying to land Cristobal for years! And Gattis sold himself after winning the Broyles, and his Bs of making teams think that he called any offense before. Miami admin and fans fell for it, and to strengthen the argument in their minds they would use that Cristobal and Gattis both beat OSU as their basis. I heard that so much from my Hurricane buddy. He thought I was biased and jealous because both coaches beat OSU. Not realizing that Cristobal beat a massively inexperienced Stroud in his 2nd game. And Gattis used Hairballs power run scheme to put muscle OSU defense which was suspect all year. I’ll give Hairball kudos for that, but Gattis didn’t deserve the praise that he received

Cristobal was their savior, and their version of Hairball. They have lost to aTm, Middle TN St, and now Duke! And they almost lost to bad years for UNC and VA Tech. Cristobal may have the hottest seat in CFB next to Freeman at ND

Cristobal has won coach of the year in two different conferences, and took over a program in worse shape than Notre Dame. Freeman is 4-4 as a head coach.

The two situations are entirely different, and one has a much longer leash than the other.

I’d say Jimbo’s seat is hotter than both.

Cristobal will get a pass this year but if he doesn’t start to turn it around next year (I.e. continue to lose to the likes of Duke and middle Tennessee state) he might start feeling some heat.

I think they did lose to UNC
They barely beat UNC 2 weeks ago.

Oh he’s feeling heat! Miami has some of the most Impaulsive fans in CFB. They already want Cristobal and Gattis gone! The Ruiz checks have dried up, and the rumors of getting their own stadium are going up in smoke. They already have a minimal bandwagon fan base as is, and can’t even keep the elite SoFL kids at home. Cristobal was known mostly as a recruiter, and the fact that they lost steam before the season started on the trail, and it’ll be a dog fight to keep the kids they have committed.

Just sayin': Being coach of the year doesn't really mean that much. This guy was coach of the year in 3 different conferences; however, would you hire him for Ohio State?

That's cute I believe you forgot his buyout is 85 million. Jimbo's seat is ice cold for quite a few years cause his buyout is above 50 million till 2025 or 2026
