It's actually par for the course.
Florida is loaded with talent, but is recruited nationally and 3 "big" schools there. Florida, FSU, and Miami basically trade spots every couple years between whose up/down... and anytime the last two are doing well there's a rotten stench surrounding them.
Problem is, it seems like the stench from Miami has lasted over a decade at this point, longer than the others have been down. And it's looking like they may fall into a category similar to schools who are middle of the road and get happy over a big win each season but barely get 7-8 wins. It's crazy with the amount of talent literally in their backyard. Kaaya, Johnson, Coley, Waters and Watford, even with an average line are good for 8-9 wins with an above average coach. Their defense isn't terrible, just poorly coached. If OsU fans worry about our DLine and DBs, watch part of a Miami game, and you'll feel a lot better. And it's funny since OsU has mostly Ohio players(and supposedly are slow and plodding) and Miami has mostly hometown talent(speedsters who were born and bred to play football), and it wouldn't be close if we played.
