In 2009 Ohio State gave up 179 yards a game thru the air

I point these out as evidence that the Buckeyes typically field a great pass defense, and this year is no particular exception. To expect Harris to throw for 350 on them is, in my opinion, not reasonable.

And we have the stupid speed argument again.

Something like 5 of the players on this roster were on the team for the 2007/2008 Sugar Bowl against LSU. The Speed argument is LAME.

If he goes for 350 yards on the bucks he will win the Heisman.

Are you forgetting that BOTH quarterbacks are improved? If Harris goes for 350 on the buckeyes defense then that must mean its a shootout or you're predicting an absolute blowout. Because if its a tight game (which is more than likely the scenerio) then their will be much more balance than what you're predicting.

Out of all the big nonconference games OSU has played I don't know if i've ever seen someone predict such ridiculous things against a buckeye defense that matches if not BEATs the Canes defense (and we all know how your scrimmages ended up against your first team D).

Defensive Line- Slight Edge OSU
Linebacker- Edge OSU
Secondary-Slight Edge UM

overall I'd say we got a top 5 defense and you're predicting 350 yards passing. Fine, you're convinced your QB is the Heisman Trophy leader, but what about that Offensive Line? You do realize that goes into the equation too right?

Also if Harris throws 40+ times you are going to lose. No doubt about who will win if either QB throws over 40+

i see this as a huge miami advantage...Harris is a winner has been his whole life.... yes he struggled some last year...but I expect improved decision making and reads this year. i think he will put 350 plus against you, i think pryor will be at 180 or so....our other big advantage i think will be on st... you guys didnt look very good last week...our return game and blocking units will excell !!

So, you think he's going to put up the 2nd highest passing day of his career against a program that has consistently had one of the best pass defenses in the country for nearly a decade, on the road, against the #2 ranked team in the country that has one of the best DL in the country going against your questionable OL? I'll tell ya what...name the amount, and I'll bet it.

Ok.. what makes Miami's so different? Colt McCoy's Texas was pretty good at it, and Ohio State handled him just fine... albeit in a last minute loss.

What kind of speed are you talking about? Quick muscle reflex of a D line (I assume not, since you were talking about speed as between WRs of Miami and OSUs DBs))? Yeah, LSU and Florida had Ohio State beat there. As for straight line speed... well... you can dig up the 40 times just as well as I can. Sounds like an ESPN sound bite to me, bud.

300 is exceedingly rare, which makes hoping for it a tall task, let alone expecting 350+.

If Harris throws the ball 40 times, you're down a lot and you have no running game going which will be VITAL in a game like this on the road.

I'll keep the "football IQ" comment I had locked and ready to rock to myself.

The guy he was playing behind was a 4th year starter. They both started in 08 & 09, as OSU's primary defense is nickel package with a physical safety as the nickelback.
so if he is even a half step slow...
