Game Thread Miami (FL) at tOSU, Sat Sep 11, 3:40 ET, ESPN

It was Brian Griese, the son who QB'd at TSUN, not his old man Bob (Purdue/Dolphins).

Yeah, Brian was born and raised in MIAMI, Florida and then attended TSUN. Its no surprise that he may have a slanted view on this occasion...

He didn't have an argument or justification for the predicted win at all:

- "Terrelle Pryor vs. Jacory Harris" - HUH? I thought it was Offense vs defense

- "Miami has enough speed to keep Pryor in the pocket" - So its back to the southern speed. So what about our Defense vs Harris? What about our line vs their line? Keep Pryor in check, we will run it with our stable of proven RBs.

- "Jacory Harris ends up being the best QB on the field that day" - Okay, let him be the best QB, we will now revert back to the RB performance? You don't have to be the best QB on the field to win games, ask Craig Krenzel.

-"Miami goes in to Columbus and wins in a big way" - How about a predicted score you loud mouth idiot?

Also, he then has Miami (on the road) losing to Clemson two weeks later? WTF? So the team has so much speed and talent that they can take down OSU, in the Shoe during prime time, but can't beat a lower opponent in Clemson? Futhermore he then has Miami losing to Va Tech AT HOME after "winning convincingly" against FSU?

Brian Grease is one of the worst football analysts there is in sports. He brings nothing to the table - absolutely ZERO statistics in his Miami schedule prediction! Bout as retarded as that gay winged helmet.

I do not understand at all why anyone would pick Miami to win "in a big way"

what is the basis for this?

it may be a reach to pick Cryami to win in the first place..........

I could understand people picking USC to win last year, given Peter Carroll's success on the road

but lets take a look at Randy Shannon's road games

2009-
W 38-34 @ Florida State (7-6)
L 31-7 @ Va Tech (10-3)
W 27-7 @(?) UCF (8-5)
W 28-27 @ Wake Forest (5-7)
L 33-24 @ UNC (8-5)
W 31-10 @ USF (8-5)

2008-
L 26-3 @ Florida (13-1)
W 41-23 @ Texas A&M (4-8)
W 49-31 @ Duke (4-8)
W 24-17 @ UVA (5-7)
L 41-23 @ Ga Tech (9-4)
L 38-28 @ NC State (6-7)

2007-
L 51-13 @ Oklahoma (11-3)
L 33-27 @ UNC (4-8)
W 37-29 @ Florida State (7-6)
L 44-14 @ Va Tech (11-3)
L 28-14 @ Boston College (11-3)

a stellar 8-9 road record

the "premier" road wins are against an 8 win USF team and 7 win Florida State teams

average score on the road against teams who won 10+ games...... 36-10 (with an 0-5 record)

good luck in the shoe Randy and Canes

The games against Virginia Tech and Wisconsin say a lot to me because those are two physical teams that play with sound fundamentals. I would say that's the kind of game we play, only I think we have better athletes that both of those schools. Poor tackling, constant pressure in the face of their qb (who makes plenty of bad decisions anyway), and their lack of discipline. If our QB can make good decisions, I see us winning this one comfortably. Like by 13 or 14 where we simply control the game the entire second half.
Side note: I'd love to see SunShine Seantrel on the field matching up with our defensive linemen.

I have a major problem with this. I remember only a few months ago Oregon fans came on here talking about how they beat USC and Purdon't and a lot of the Buckeye fans said it was a stupid argument because the transitive property doesn't work in football. And now I've seen the exact same argument used against Cryami multiple times in this thread.

It's in response to baiting by the troll. Most of us know that it doesn't mean anything.

Just dont ban me if we tear you guys apart. I expect this game to be the game of the year. I remember FSU fans saying the same ting last year.

Don't ban you if Miami tears Ohio State apart?! :slappy: Ohio State will do to da U that Florida will do to Miami (OH)... It's going to get UGLY

Just to be clear for any visiting Miami fans. If somehow Miami comes to the Shoe and manages to beat OSU - be it by one point of 50 points - I will immediately remove my 2002 National Championship ball cap.

I will then turn it around so I can read what it says on the front, smile, and put it back on my little bald head.
