The crowd wasn't too intense today, IMO. But I guess, when you're used to 105,000 people at games, it's all the same. Nothing compares to the USC game last year, from what I've been to.

The score doesn't show it, but tOSU dominated the whole game. 2 breakdowns on special teams led to 14 point, the D only allowed 10 points. We moved the ball extremely well. I hope this game doesn't prove worthless now that the ACC has a superb showing today (/sarcasm) with G Tech going down, V Tech going down, Florida St going down...

Awesome pics.
Question (never been to Columbus) - near the beginning of the pics, that a normal thing? Parade walk?
And is it all the way to the stadium?

That's what I love about the game of CFB... The history, richness, traditions, rivalries...

I went to Clemson,SC in the mid 90's, and I was in awe..
That pawprint was everywhere. painted on buildings, billboards, streets/highways, rooftops...

MAN - wtf is better than CFB? Seriously!

Thanks. Yes, every game, 2 hours before kickoff, the team walks into St. John Arena (where bball once played) where the band has been holding a pep rally for a packed house (it holds 13276 people). They say a quick few words, sometimes have an honorary captain up there, then exit the arena, walk out through a line of fans (sometimes stopping to hug moms) and cross the street to head into Ohio Stadium.

That's cool...
That's our downside to not having an on-campus stadium.

They had a chance MANY years ago, and I forgot what happened, but it was shot down.

Nowadays, if they could even FIND it, it would probably cost 1/4 - 1/2 billion dollars just for the freaking LAND to build a stadium w/ parking in Coral Gables... No space for that, and land is obscenely expensive there, anyways!

They have the Hecht center with practice field, Mark Light baseball stadium, BankUnited Center for BB... OB was about a 5-10 minute drive away, but now at the Dolphins stadium, it's clear across the county.

Before Schnelly in '79, UM was the proverbial doormat, and they even almost killed off the football program. Needless to say, a football stadium was NOT a top priority - hence the OB with the City of Miami.

By the time Schnelly came in, and the NC in '83, it was already too late. No space, and land prices in CG were already high.

Damn shame...

Of course, we don't REALLY need the Biltmore hotel...
And the Bilmore and Riviera Golf Courses...

:)

From what I saw on TV, pretty good...not on par with USC last year or '05 Texas though...IMO anyway...

To be fair, ESPN adjusted the sound. I noticed about 2-3 minutes into the game, the crowd instantly sounded tinny. Looks like they did the same thing as what they did to drown out vuvuzelas during the World Cup.

You gotta come to Columbus then for a game (even if Miami isn't playng)

Skull Session, the walk, TBDBITL (The Best Damn Band In The Land) ramp entrance, the back bend, Script Ohio, O-H-I-O cheer. Definitely a thing to experience.

All the tradition, pomp, and circumstance might be enough to make you a closet Buckeye fan
