OHIO STATE MEN?S BASKETBALL
Walk-ons provide behind-scenes assistance
Peters, Titus have been invaluable on practice court
Wednesday, December 27, 2006

For five years, Mark Titus played AAU basketball with current Ohio State freshmen Greg Oden, Mike Conley Jr. and Daequan Cook. Very cool story. My bro was a Basketball Mngr. for 4 years on the teams with Perry Carter, Mark Baker, Chris Jent, Jimmy Jackson, etc. He obviously never got to do what these two are doing, but it was still a great experience for him and us (his family), so I can only imagine what Peters and Titus are feeling.

LARRY PHILLIPS

This wasn't part of the plan. Greg Oden, Daequan Cook, Ron Lewis and Co. were supposed to wield the kind of talent that would administer beatings, not absorb them.

The Ohio State men?s basketball team made short work of the Eagles in its final game before the start of the Big Ten season.

OHIO STATE NOTEBOOK
Hitting threes boosts Conley?s confidence
Sunday, January 14, 2007

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH

True to his roots as a point guard, when Mike Conley Jr. enjoyed little success as a three-point shooter early this season, he busied himself doing whatever else he could to help the Ohio State men?s basketball team win games.

COLLEGE BASKETBALL INSIDER

Football set a high bar for Buckeyes

By Wendell Barnhouse

Star-Telegram Staff Writer

Potential is a dangerous and potent word.
If you have potential, then others expect you to deliver. Potential can be a burden because what outsiders see is not always what's there. Potential and disappointment are first cousins even if they're separated by dozens of pages in the dictionary.
Ohio State's basketball team has to deal with potential the same way the school's football team had to deal with it.
