We had another DL with similar measurables come from Dematha and do pretty well in Columbus...that is the furthest I will go with the comparison until I watch his film, but very interesting to see us pop up this late in the game for a top rated guy (or I have been oblivious and didn't recognize he was a target).

This recruiting cycle has been quite interesting with names, but I think it could be due to so many new coaches. And them having to reset their boards, and make relationships fast. This kid popped late, but so did Umezulu and Sampson-Hunt. This upcoming season will be bigger than many of us think going forward. Not just with building relationships, but showing the recruits success with the new coaches.

Another one from Wiltfong. This would be an amazing get, totally out of left field (for me). Love his size and he’s been playing varsity basketball since his freshman year as well, Dematha is an elite program for bball.

Up until recently the sense was ND had the edge in his recruitment. I think OSU hosted him on his OV during one of the huge recruiting weekends in June 17 or June 24 and has not only made up significant ground on the Irish but apparently passed them up.

Gotcha. Wasn’t sure because he’s listed as a DL. But I also assumed he was on the Edge until I looked at his position ranking. I figured he was the “replacement” for Reed, but they have definite different body types
