May 6th: First BP Golf Outing of 2006

Will you play in a BP golf outing on May 6th?

Alright, I played Clover this morning and was going to talk to the new pro there (Larry moved on), but they were slammed after the round. Josh (great guy btw) knows I want to talk about an outing and I said I'd call him in the next day or two.

My question is this: How many people do you think we'll have?

Is this going to be a small outing where I should just book about 5-6 tee times (20-24 people) or will we potentially get 50-60 people and need to do a real outing?

How big was the last outing - is it worth getting the food packages or do you want to buy it on your own at the clubhouse?

Please let me know asap. I'm ready to set something up, but I have to know a few details.

(would someone merge this with the other thread or just sticky this one?

I'm guessing we'll be in the 20-32 range. I think we would be better off just getting the tee times and getting food in the clubhouse and/or go to a bar after the round. I'll go with what everyone else wants to do, but thats just my opinion.

My guess is it will be closer to 20 when it actually comes time to make a committment. I would just go with the tee times and let everyone get their food at the shop. Less hassle for everyone involved. I drove by there yesterday looks to be greening up quite nicely.

Ok great, I'll try to arrange 6 tee times for May 6th (Saturday) for the afternoon.

We'll hold a signup here for spaces for the groups.

As a competition, since the group is so small, I'm thinking 2 man scrambles. Or we could do 2 man best ball with handicap (on the honor system).

We could also hold a skins game.

btw, I would keep myself out of all bets, I'll just help organize the event and be there when it happens.

Does this sound good?

2 man scramble sounds good for those of us that suck.
