Here's what you do:
1. Choose Course, date, and time
2. Find out greens fee per person
3. Anyone interested should PM the man/woman setting it up and send them a check for the amount of the greens fee and any guests with their greens fee as well.
4. Checks are due exactly one month before the event so the appropriate consecutive tee times can be purchased.
5. Foursomes are made during the month layover.
6. Teams are twosomes playing a team best ball
7. Etc...

you've got 3 backwards... the organizer definitely should do the PM'ing, or nobody will ever get around to it. I like the deadline idea tho.

That wont work...my mailing system is unreliable.
I would be glad to assist anyone but for God's sake don't send me mail cause I won't get it. Remember I live in campus slums.
You need the deadline so the organizer is not sitting in the red on funding, agreed.
