Matt Leinart (FOX CFB Analyst)

It's obvious no one remebers DA's pro-bowl season. The guy didn't always suck. Maybe he can recpature some of what he had.

Again, he may have sucked last year, but it NEVER helps when you're #1 target drops every ball thrown his way. DA had more 3rd and 10's than any QB I can remeber b/c his receivers continuously dropped passes. DA's biggest problem was being locked into 3rd and long...that's no way to go through the NFL.

Arizona Cardinals in trade talks with teams about Matt Leinart, sources say - ESPN

Cards actually entertaining trade offers...can't believe he has gotten thoroughly beaten out by a guy who went 2/17 against Buffalo just last year. The teams appear to be others looking for a backup, so it appears his starting career is on hold or will never happen.

Maybe the Cards will be in the market for a backup...say a certain former Buckeye that currently plays for the Ratbirds? LOL

He might be able to beat out Trent Edwards in Buffalo. I think Arizona is about to blow it all up and start over. They are real high on the two rookie qb's they have. I think Anderson gets the starting job until they are out of contention then they turn it over to one of the rookies.

That could very well be...of course in that division, which might be the weakest in NFL history this year, they could be in contention at 5-8 13 games in.

Not even close... it's a very solid team outside of the QB position. The only reason they're in this position is because of Warner passing on the second year of his contract. Cards didn't plan for things to go like this. They're high on Max Hall, but Skelton has yet to show too many impressive moments... he's a project. I think once they dump Leinart, they pick of another veteran that hits waivers (I do love the Troy Smith idea), and sends one of the rookies to the practice squad. DA has a solid core around him, hopefully he can play closer to how he did his pro bowl year. But they vested too much into the roster to "blow up"... there's a lot of talent on this team, on both sides of the ball.

They lost Anqauin Bolden and Warner and brought in Joey Porter and Derrick Anderson. Yup those are some real upgrades

They traded Anquan Boldin... and didn't really flinch about it the way Breaston played. Breaston is no Boldin... but brings a different dimension.

They added Joey Porter, Kerry Rhodes, Pete Kendall, Daryl Washington, Dan Williams, Trumain McBride etc...

Their defense is pretty upgraded, while they lost Dansby and Rolle, their main problem last season was getting pressure on the QB, which Porter will help with. Washington should step in for Dansby, while he doesn't have the speed and expirience, he is a tackling machine... and has shown that in the pre-season. I was never a fan of Rolle, he was all glitz and glamour with his big picks, but got burnt plenty of times... which is why he was moved from CB to Saftey.

They're one year removed from the Super Bowl and back to back division champs... with major young talent like Beanie Wells, Rodgers-Cromartie, Calais Campbell (who will have a HUGE breakout year)etc. and veterans like Fitz, Adrian Wilson and Darnell Dockett and you really think they are going to "blow the team up"???

Whiz is a smart coach, hence why they went from perenial bottom dwellars to the Super Bowl. He'll make it work.
