Matt Leinart (FOX CFB Analyst)

Seems like Leinart and Nik Lachey had a bit of a party...as the girls are starting to be ID'd seems that many of these girls may have been under 21. This was at Leinart's house a few weeks ago.

The site is slow, and may take awhile to load.
TheDirty.com ? Blog Archive ? Matt Leinart (Az Cardinals) and Nick Lachey (Has Been) contribute to the delinquency of minors.

Source: Cardinals set to name QB Warner as starter

The Arizona Cardinals are expected to name Kurt Warner as the team's starting quarterback, a team source said Sunday.

Matt Leinart's poor performance Saturday night against the Oakland Raiders probably sealed the decision.

Leinart had three interceptions in the first half and completed just 4 of 12 passes for 24 yards. His passer rating was 2.8. The Cardinals won the game 24-0.

Contd....

I saw Leinart play in college, I've watched him on TV in the NFL. I still say this guy is average, at best. He was surrounded by tremendous talent at USC, great O-line, phenominal backs like Reggie Bush, and athletic receivers. He did an article in the ESPN magazine, asking why he got drafted lower than he thought he should have...I think Arizona was generous.

Passing judgment: It's too soon to call Leinart's NFL career a bust

Last weekend you might have heard that Matt Leinart stunk it up in the "all-important'' third preseason game, throwing three interceptions in 12 passing attempts against the Raiders and posting a microscopic 2.8 passer rating. Predictably, soon thereafter came the anonymously sourced report he was about to lose his job as the Cardinals starting quarterback. He hasn't yet, but that almost seems besides the point.
Such was Leinart's plight in recent days, and some how, some way, even though we haven't even reached the end of August yet, it has become something of a foregone conclusion his days as the No. 1 in Arizona are indeed numbered. The shorthand has quickly become: Leinart's a failure, and the Cardinals are Kurt Warner's team once again. That judgment made, we moved on to other juicier topics like Michael Strahan's potential un-retirement or whether the four-game preseason has finally out-lived its usefulness.

? The former Heisman-winning USC quarterback has started only 16 games in his first two years in the desert, the equivalent of one full regular season. He has missed 12 games due to shoulder injuries -- including last year's broken left collarbone, which ended his season after five starts -- made one relief appearance, and sat the bench for three others.
? Leinart, who turned 25 in May, is 7-9 as a Cardinals starter. That's not a great record by any means, but for a team that has made the playoffs just once (1998) in the past 26 years, it's not too shabby. By comparison, in games Leinart hasn't started the past two years, Arizona is 6-10.

There certainly is time for him to turn it around, but you'd think with all those weapons in Phoenix, he'd able to beat a graybeard like Kurt Warner. It's the perfect position for him to be in I guess though. If he goes out there and struggles, he is basically booed out of town, now he's everybody's favorite QB...the backup. I just don't see it though, Warner, even for his age, is perfect for the offense they run and will probably put up big numbers again.

Caught a bit of last night's preseason tilt versus the Titans and the announcers suggested there was some sort of competition going on between Leinart and Derek Anderson for the starting gig. Leinart didn't look so great but Derek Anderson? If he can't beat out DA then he should probably go hang out with Jamarcus Russell.

I know what could help in getting some first downs.....but it calls for some wacky play calls like running the ball.

No doubt. Their pass:run play selection is almost 2:1 with Beanie in the backfield, Fitzgerald hurt and two mediocre QBs.

DA actually didn't look terrible like he usually does. He was making good read and was decisive with the ball, good completion percentage. At least he was missing the throws, rather than just not seeing open guys and making dumb plays.

That's improvement, right?
