Maryland WR Stefon Diggs (official thread)

And LloydSev has the speed of a cheetah.... Problem is, neither Lloyd nor Neal has an Ohio State offer, so let's focus on Diggs, who does.

Actually it was LloydSev's girlfriend who possessed the speed of a cheetah - and she was every bit as real as Neal's chances of ending up in Columbus at this point.

Has Maryland even won a championship in their existence?
They claim 1951 and 1953 as national championship seasons... 1951 retroactively. 1953 they were named national champions before the bowl games then lost to Oklahoma in the '54 Orange Bowl.

Their last ACC championship was 2001.

Randy Edsell is the H Coach. He's a good one. Not that they are top 10 but he will do very well.

Neal has nice speed and quickness, but no comparison to Diggs' combination of size, speed, quickness, and strength. Diggs has some jaw-crushing hits as a cornerback and isn't afraid to be physical. He showed in the Army AA game just how explosive he can be after the catch as well. We know that size can really hold a guy back as well once they get to the next level, and Neal has a size disadvantage. How much better would Noel Devine, Brandon James, Chris Rainey, and Jeff Demps be if they were 6'0"/190???? (or at least built like Mo Drew who was 5'7"/210)??? Diggs is clearly a better prospect IMO.

I will elaborate, Davonte Neal is faster than Stefon Diggs; Stefon Diggs appears to be the better overall football player.

There were guys who had faster listed 40 times than Ted Ginn had, yet I've never see any college football player with a higher top-end gear on the football field than Ted Ginn.

Can we all just agree that Diggs is a phenomenal talent and we all want him to join the Buckeyes? Who he compares to between Harvin, Jackson, Ginn, and Neal really doesn't matter because he is his own person and will be making plays as Stefon Diggs, and not anybody else reincarnated.

If he chooses to join the Buckeyes, I for one, will be more than ecstatic. He is so versatile and makes plays all over the field that I see him as a player that will see the field early and often. I'd trade him for any player in this class since he has no peers in the '12 class while everybody else does (although I see Decker and Dodson as close). And for the record, I do see him as being better than Cyrus Jones who we all see as a similar player.

Agreed. I felt spoiled when we had him. Because every time he touched the ball, it could have been a TD. Dude was fun to watch.
