Maryland at tOSU, Oct 9th, Noon ET on FOX

Also, there are some comments from Kevin Wilson in the article:

KEVIN WILSON
ON WATCHING HIS SON TOBY WILSON PLAY ON SATURDAY
  • "I was actually kinda nervous," Wilson said, fearing some bad snaps.
  • "He came here for him," Wilson notes, saying he did not pressure him to go to Ohio State.
  • Wilson said Toby wants to be a coach.
  • "I don't try to do him any favors. I treat him like the other guys."
ON MARYLAND
  • "I think this team is more talented than the Rutgers team."
  • Wilson said there's a new defensive coordinator, so there's still not a ton of film on them.
  • "They've got good players."
ON JEREMY RUCKERT
  • Wilson said you can't force the ball to anybody.
  • "Sometimes, it naturally needs to happen."
  • Wilson notes that Ruckert plays very well even when he doesn't get the ball.
  • "He's become a complete blocker. He's very unselfish."
ON THE BACKUPS
  • On Rossi: "He's really a fullback by trade."
  • "We really need Cade, Joe and Gee to get on schedule."
  • "They're on track to get there, but they're a few months away from where they need to be."
  • "They need to be ready to answer the call here very soon."

Will this be four weeks in a row for a pick 6? No. Pick 6's are rare and I'd bet against it.
Does Mr. Williams get his 5th sack this season? Yes
Does Treveyon gain at least 150 yds and get 2 more TDs? 150 yards? No. 2 TD's? Yes. I think it'll be high 90s and Ohio State is up 28-7 at halftime. A couple of runs the first drive of the second half and he's already out of the game.
Does Stroud throw for at least 300 yds and 3 TDs? No and no. I'd say hi 200s and 2 TDs. Add McCord's numbers and yeah: 300+ yards and 3+ TDs.
Does Ohio State get over 500 yds of Offense? Yep
Does the Defense keep Maryland to under 17 pts? Nope. But 17-21 sounds about what I'm thinking.
Does Treveyon or Stroud win the BIG Freshman of the week award? Is this a yes/no question, or an either/or question? I say it's 50/50 "yes", and 25/25 for which one wins.

The cover of the Terrapin Station vault release:

Cincinnati Union Terminal. It was alternate parking when they played Riverfront Coliseum on 4/8/89.

I was at that show. The "Blow Away" was one of the best I've seen, and Jerry's solo on "Looks Like Rain" still haunts me. Went to Louisville the night after. Good times.

Maybe the best show I never saw. It would’ve been my fourth show but I was still an amateur. And I was there with friends and acquaintances for whom it would’ve been their first or second show. We couldn’t find tickets and never bothered to leave and drive down to the venue. I’ve heard stories about the mad scene in the parking garage next to the coliseum. I’m sorry I missed that.

I managed to buy a good vial of liquid LSD, though. Some friends and I dropped acid and our Cincy friends took us to some cliff overlooking the city. Then we went back to my friend’s girlfriend’s sorority sister’s apartment and we listened to Blues For Allah. That’s permanently etched in my memory. It’s my favorite of their studio albums and would be the first album cover I’d choose to hang on my wall.

But back to that show, that might be my favorite version of Looks Like Rain. Mickey laying down the sounds of thunder on The Beam was powerful. It must have been cool to be at that show. I’m jealous.

I did see Bruce Hornsby playing accordion on Sugaree and Memphis Blues at Buckeye Lake on 6/25/88, though. That was my third show. Caught a Terrapin that night, too. My second in consecutive shows.

(I hope that qualifies as not derailing the thread too much.)

I was at this one too. 100plus degrees that day. Someone threw a glowstick up to the stage and it spooked Jerry. You can hear him speed up the outro of Terrapin into drums so as to be able to get off stage.

"We don't let just anyone sit in on accordian" lol

Yeah, the temp hit 104 that day. Just brutal. At least I could go back to my air-conditioned campus apt. and sleep in my own bed that night. Although I’m sure that lot scene was a good party.
