Marvel Cinematic Universe

IMO L&T is a little more bonkers than Ragnarok was. Maybe a little too much for the MCU, but it was a fun watch. Bale made a good villain. As soon as it was over my 11 year old leaned over and said she loved it.

Fucking Roy Kent!!!

I just looked up who the hell that is. I was like I have never heard of this actor "Roy Kent". LOL Now I know that is the name of a character from Ted Lasso.

the MCU needed L&T after Moonknight fizzled, Ms. Marvel is boring as hell, and Scarlet Witch Multiverse was meh. That last one is the one that bugs me since Strange and Thor are my favorites.

If you are partial to entertainment, comedy, and sports, you should absolutely pay the $5 or whatever it is today for one month of AppleTV and binge the two seasons of Ted Lasso. Brett Goldstein as Roy Kent is scenery chewing magic. I am so pumped he’s Hercules. Can’t wait for him to tell a bunch of wankers to fuck off in the MCU.

I try to tell myself that Ms Marvel is aimed at teens or pre-teens and not 50+yo.
But, damn, it's not good.

Just finished and that was the most predictable credit scene yet. We were not the target audience but my 13 year old daughter and 11 year old son didn't make it past episode 1. They were so bored and didn't like the presentation. I may get my daughter to watch it because she loves
Captain Marvel

Saw Black Panther two last night. Still not sure what I think of it.

I commented to my older son it felt like no one was leading the movie. Chadwick Boseman was sorely missed. Angela Bassett put on an acting clinic though.

Put same post in the "Last movie you saw thread...

'Wakanda Forever.'

Still processing my feelings on it. I can definitely say it was a very good movie, but the spectre of Chadwick Bozeman was definitely present. Didn't feel like a Marvel movie to me at all. Yes, it has the splashy visuals and amazing action sequences, but something felt "off" to me. My immediate reaction is to say it's a solid 7/10, but interested to see how i feel after another viewing. Without a doubt felt heavier than your typical MCU experience.
