So I figured I'd make a thread for this instead of posting it in coming soon.

But Marvel just announced Phase 3 plans..

I just had a HUUUGGGEE Nerdgasm

i'm some what familiar with the Civil War story line and OMITTED FOR OBVIOUS REASONS...but how is Marvel going to pull this off with Sony still owning the rights to Spider Man and Fox still owning X-Men...as I recall both were very important (especially Spiderman) to the civil war timeline...

basically they're just gonna borrow elements from it

mostly IM vs Cap, the storyline won't be exactly the same in where it'll force them to reveal secret identities as at least in the MCU no body has a secret identity

but more IM wanting to work with SHIELD/Gov't and Cap being against it

I'm guessing

*Spoilers for those who don't know the comic story line*

Cap dies in Avengers 3, Bucky takes over in phase 4

I knew absolutely nothing about GotG. Heard everyone going apeshit when it was announced, and it only got louder from there. Finally watched it this week, and was underwhelmed. After a few more viewings, it...groo(t)...on me.

Actually really like it now. Anyway, my point is that i haven't seen a recent Marvel flick that wasn't worth a free night, a redbox ticket, and a bag of popcorn. Not exactly high praise, but they're good to fucking awesome with consistency that is otherwise lacking from just about any other entity in films these days.

If it's a Marvel flick, I'm down.

GoG was funny that way.

I knew I'd love it, was hyped for it and was not disappointed. I definitely see how it could play much better to certain demos over others.
