Mark Sanchez (Philadelphia Eagles)

over on BN, wstripes all but says he's going to usc, and unfortunatly, when he makes a prediction, you can take it to the bank. sanchez was actually at usc today for a passing camp, and i'm guessing thats when he made his pledge to become a condom and play for pistol pete.

i don't know why he'd lie to his friend saying it was down to osu and texas, but it looks like he did. oh well, i wish him good luck at usc, and i hope he has fun backing up olson and booty....:)

again....i think having Bemoll on board is more important than having Sanchez....not that there is anything wrong with Sanchez...

but..for this year Bemoll is a great get...perfect get for what the Buckeyes need...

hopefully the Nuts see it the same way...it all starts in the trenches...and tOSU is loaded with young O-lineman...

wasnt it just a year ago that internet "experts" were going off about JT's inability to recruit offensive lineman....?

Per Greg Biggins on Mark Sanchez <HR SIZE=1><!--EZCODE AUTOLINK START-->studentsports.rivals.com/...65&style=1<!--EZCODE AUTOLINK END-->

Talked to the family earlier today. As of now, no decision has been made and they're still not close to making a decision. The meeting with Norm Chow at USC went very well last week and it looks like USC is right there in the mix with Texas and Ohio State. Mark was told if he comes to USC, they will not pursue Ben Olson. They're also comfortable with the fact that even if Chow were to leave, which the family feels is probable, the system would remain the same and that was a big deal for them.

More than likely, Mark will be ready to make his decision in a week or so and could possible announce his commitment at the Elite 11 which kicks off next Wednesday.

Stripes had Ginn to USC - strike one

Stripes was right about Davis, but.... Allen Wallace had Davis solid to USC in mid-November (right after his official there; three weeks before his OSU official). So, not exactly a daring prediction on Stripes' part.

I don't agree with how they can guarantee continuation of a system. Many people copied the X's and O's of Bill Walsh's system but could not replicate what Walsh did. Per Montana it was Walsh's preparation and teaching that made the difference.

I was reading a coaches forum (interesting) and they stated the reason that Chow succeeds is HIS play calling during the game. That goes with him when he leaves IMO.

actually, i don't recall him ever saying ginn was going to sc. i beleive he said that usc would give us a run for our money, which i beleive was true. didn't ginn say that he would have commited to usc if it weren't so far away?

LJB, I don't remember that...he always told me USC was going to pull out all stops for Ginn and that he was tempted to go to USC, but I don't ever remember anything beyond a prediction as a homer fan. After committing, Ginn did say he was tempted to go to Cali...

In his early posts on the other site, Stripes had Ginn to USC, along with Davis. Unfortunately, the other site deletes posts after a time, so there is no "proof" at this point.

In any event, we fans should not assume that anyone's so-called "inside info" is golden. Some kids will say one thing to one source, then say the exact opposite to another source just minutes later. Stripes has a big rep as a guy with a "perfect" track record, but that is simply based on the Davis scenario, which scenario was accurately predicted by Allen Wallace c. Nov. 18, 2003. Just be cautious of taking any prediction "to the bank".

Well, here it is 8:08am and no word yet.... I think Carly Simon wrote a song about this before...

Anticipation, anticipation
Is makin' me late
Is keepin' me waitin'
Lest ye think I'm some Carly Simon fan, let me just say, I'm old enough that I heard her on the radio... a lot...

Whose word shall I accept? Westrips or Kevin Bemoll? Hmmmm I think I will take the word of a kid who is supposedly best friends with Mark Sanchez....

QUOTE: Bemoll Said, the field has been narrowed even closer: "Its down to Texas and Ohio State for Mark. He's not even thinking about SC. If Mark tells me he is going to Ohio State. I WOULD COMMIT THERE AS WELL. It would be neat if all three of us went to Ohio State."

In my humble opinion, MS isnt interested in SC... perhaps his parents are, but I dont think Mark is. That isnt that uncommon for parents to pull for one school until the really see that there son isnt really that keen on the idea....

No matter what happens with Sanchez, I think one thing that has been lost in this whole friggin mess is that RS is a great QB recruit as well..

The guy goes 6'5", 225+ is Elite 11 and, like Sanchez, rates 4 stars on Rivals..
RS, as an Ohio kid, knows all about Big Ten football... While MS is the 1 rated "Pro-Style" QB, RS is 4th... What's the difference? Who knows, maybe 1 or both of these guys flops... maybe both become Heisman contenders..

I say this because I think there are pleanty of people out there (and maybe this post is better for BN than here) that would feel like losing MS makes RS a consolation prize, and guys, I just don't think you can go wrong with either one of these two...

I wouldn't say RS is "in the bag" either, and I don't see many people throwin props at a kid who looks to deserve just as much hype as MS. All that said, I hope against hope OSU gets both. But if we get just 1 - either one, I'll be thrilled.
