Mark May (Blew 5 guys at Pitt)

Across college sports, Ohio State is an example of a class act. Few players getting in trouble, ever-increasing graduation rates, lots of fan support. Carrying on the "hate Ohio State" campaign only embarrasses ESPiN.

that may be true, but 1 incident every 10 years is enough to fuel the moron hater fires, probably less than that

hell, Michigan fans are fueling their arrogance with shit that happened a century ago, I don't think anything less than dropping all athletic programs at Ohio State will get people to shut up, and even that might not be enough

It's obvious by now they don't care if they are "embarrassed". However, what I can't believe is that they haven't realized it's getting fucking OLD. I mean, seriously, trashing OSU is like, so 2002. Eventually, fans of college football get tired of hearing the same shit year...after year...after year...after year...on all the shows, starting in August and running through January. With all the other schools that have been in trouble since then and with the state of traditional powers like ND, Michigan, and USC (for different reasons), you'd think they would at least update their schtik a little.

I dont agree with the one that at all. It is one thing to jump all over Oregon, but we have had more than our fair share of problems in recent year. Heck in the last two years we have had issues with Jamaal Berry and a problem with a DE/OLB commit that should have been here last year.

Michigan is a mess right now, but in my opinion it is better to let them fall apart on their own, no need to draw attention to us, let them dig their own hole so deep.........

Here is the address of a thread that contains more than 1500 posts referring to arrests of college football players (link). Take a look at Florida, Penn State, Oregon...you choose the top-tier program and compare.

Ohio State hasn't had "more than their fair share of problems in recent year (sic)". It's a silly assertion to make.

I gues more than our fare share isnt the correct wording. I am saying that with everyone making fun of Oregon for what is going on, its like hello.......we did the same sort of crap. Leave it alone, no sense in bringing it up and dragging it through the mud. It just bothers me that everyone piles on a team, when we arent the cleanest in that area.

I guess that you may not have been around for the fun and games with ESPiN. The allegations against Ohio State as a program out of control were investigated twice by the NCAA. No evidence could be found to support the allegations ESPiN trumpeted about.

Add up everything that occurred in the last two years of John Cooper and the first two years of its legacy in the Jim Tressel years, then add everything since and there is simply no comparison between the Ohio State football program and these others.

Look also at what happened when trouble did visit Ohio State. Players and coaches were shown the door or shown other discipline pretty quickly. Ask Jim O'Brien, Ohio State acted so quickly it made him a wealthy guy.

The allegations you imply are inaccurate and repugnant.

Like I suggested earlier, visit Police/Legal Blotter thread. It's a real eye-opener.
