Small schools (just like NCAA Basketball tourney 64 teams) deserve to go to bowl games too.

Uh, no they don't. The NCAA tounament is also jacked because they let teams with records like 17-15 in, just because they win a conference tournament. There should be no conference tournaments in basketball (and no conference title games in college football).

IMO, there should be no more than 10-12 football bowl games...and the NCAA tournament should allow only regular-season conference champs, along with teams who are in the top 25 in the polls, as auto-bids.

There was an interview on BP the other day with one of the former Buckeye players, I think Hicks, who said something to this effect. Going to a bowl used to be a big thing. It isn't any more.

There are too many bowl games. Who cares if the SEC #8 loses to the ACC #7. Why watch a game between teams that distinguished themselves so poorly?

I know, the answer is that the money earned really helps athletics departments and this supports a lot of minor sports and the extra practice time is invaluable. An alternative is that these sports should either find support from their fans or disappear and practice time can be made available to everyone.

We need as many bowl games as possible. It just makes me laugh that much more when Michigan fails to go to one.
