Making recruiting videos

Yo, I have done some videos for my kid for recruting. I know how to cut, overlay, put music under etc.

The one think I am looking for is some type of a paint box or program that I can spotlight her with an arrow, a shading or circle so the coach knows what they are looking for.

My preference is a free download. :)

I have Windows Movie Maker and I primarily use Pinnacle Movie Maker. Pinnacle does a really nice job. I guess I could do a freeze frame, then paintbox, then insert the image. But that seems like a long way around for the solution.

Any ideas what people use?

I am reading that you want to do a freeze frame when you want to highlight action. Still working on that. Need to be able to circle or highlight somehow.

Google how to spotlight a highlight video. I haven't done it but that is the term.

Also if you are going to freeze it, do so before the play. Nothing is more frustrating than mid play freezes that disrupt the flow and view of how fluid and athletic a player is.

This is one I found for Pinnacle 16. I have v 15 so I am trying to figure it out.

Basically you make a solid red circle with a smaller solid green circle layered over. Then chroma key the green out leaving just the red outline of the red circle left over. Then place it over the player in the freeze frame.

Now I just have to fugure out how the F;jg to work the controls. LOL

Couldn't you just use a transparent png (img) or something along those lines?

The circle you can re-size and move around the screen to where the player is before you add the layer. Not sure you could move a png in the same way. But I ain't no expert.
