Give it a few weeks to change the way you compute and you will love it. It is different, for sure. But as a fellow iPhone and Mac user, you wont regret it.THEWOOD;1520594; said:I just bought a new macbook. I have no clue what I am doing...
It's the equivalent of the spinning hour glass in windows. Force quit Safari and restart it and see if that fixes it. You could also look into Firefox or Camino for alternative web browsers. Firefox you may know from Windows, but Camino is made by Mozilla as well and is a pretty basic web browser but doesnt have as many bugs; at least in my experience.THEWOOD;1532761; said:I am having some isssues with my macbook pro. I keep getting a spinning rainbow wheel. It happened even as I am typing this message. I am not running a lot of programs, at least not to my knowledge. It seems to only occur while using Safari. Any help would be much appreciated. Please, it is SO annoying!
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KVFmE8la6w]YouTube - Inklet Demo with Photoshop[/ame]Doodle much? Not us -- we just keep things in our heads which is probably for the best, but Ten One Design -- maker of Pogo Stylus and Pogo Sketch -- has just come up with a new solution for MacBook artists. The Inklet app essentially converts your multitouch trackpad into a drawing tablet by adding pressure sensitivity when using with a Pogo Sketch, as well as "advanced palm rejection" which lets you rest your hand while drawing or writing. As you can see in one of the videos after the break, you can also quickly adjust your canvas area at your convenience. $24.95 and it's yours, Picasso.

There's a very good chance you'll have to redo a lot of your effects and even images, because quite a few styles and effects don't like the .ppt format and just can't happen in Powerpoint.
I do have iWork '08, to really answer your original question.
