My understanding is the Coach K was opposed to recruiting probable one-and-dones at first. He has since taken a more "pragmatic" approach in that area. If he had the same attitude then as he does now he would have been all over Oden like stink on Dook.

Not just K but a lot of coaches missed an opportunity to recruit Oden because they thought he wasn't going to college. Stroke of luck that Wake Forest was the top competition for OSU re: Oden.

I did not mention Oden's name. I said other recruits. Do not know how long you have been following Ohio State basketball..

I think any further discussion of this should be done in the top thread of the Basketball Recruiting forum.
