Grandmother harassed by then-LSU player Derrius Guice claims Ed Orgeron lied to investigators

Scott has lived her entire life in New Orleans. She loves football, has been a Saints fan since 1967 and an Louisiana State University Tigers fan for almost as long.

She remembers vividly the day in December 2017 that Derrius Guice, LSU’s then-standout running back, and his friends approached her while she was sitting at her post outside Elevator 8 in Bunker G.

She glanced up, and they stopped right in front of her.

“I like to f--- women like you, you older women, because y'all know y'all like us young men to f--- y'all,” Scott said Guice told her. “And, you know you want this body.”
.
.
.
The first time Scott saw Guice in person was when LSU played Brigham Young University at the Superdome in September 2017. Guice and his family had been hanging around at the stadium about an hour after the game ended, and Scott’s job was to ask them to leave. When she did, Guice and his family refused, she said. Scott said she then told one of Guice’s coaches, who spoke to him, only for Guice to then curse out the coach.

“I looked at this young man, and I said, ‘This young man's not going anywhere,’” Scott said. “I felt his spirit. I did. He's not going anywhere in life. Because he have no respect. And he's very disrespectful. Nobody else had a problem but him.”

That was the impression Scott had of Guice when she saw him again at the Superdome on Dec. 9, 2017, while she was working the high school football state championships.

After Guice made his vulgar comments and gestures, Scott said she told him she was a grandmother and asked him to show her respect.

“‘Young man, respect me,’” she recalled saying. “‘I am a grandmother, and I have grandkids. How would you like somebody to talk to your grandmother this way and handle this like that?’ I said, ‘My grandsons are not like this.’ And he told me, ‘F--- your grandsons. They don't know nothing, you and I are going to the hotel so I could f--- you.’”

my issue with O’s “statement” today still hangs up on him saying he “didn’t know the details”

how the fuck do you not know the details of your beat player being accused of literally anything.

Guice was far and away best player on team that year.
Nobody else was close.

O says he knew he was accused, but didn’t know details?!!?

Bullshit!

first thing i’m doing is asking for every fucking detail possible in that spot.

1) Guice was the best player on the team.
2) Hell, Guice was accused of rape at LSU when he was a Freshman.
3) Orgeron knew what Guice was like and probably believed that Guice did act "inappropriately".
4) He didn't want to know the details/facts, because he didn't want to take any disciplinary action against his best player, etc. Especially before the bowl game.
5) Now if the next game had been with the "Little Sisters of the Poor", Orgeron would have probably made a big deal how he runs a tight ship and suspended him for that game.

right now, things really stink at LSU.

heads need to roll.

Ausberry and Segar at a minimum. O may need to go as well depending on investigation into this Guice situation.

We have (has?) a serious issue on campus that needs to be cleaned up.

this shit is sickening.

But you are right, LSU needs to do some serious "housecleaning" and put some plan in place so it can't happen again; so they can move on and put all this behind them.

whoa!, what?
to my knowledge nothing came out (publicly) until after he left.

turns out ole boy was a complete shitbag of a human, but i don’t remember anything coming out until he left and NFL started digging into possible “character issues”

now we know some shit went down while at LSU.
and apparently LSU helped keep it quiet.

but at the time, we had no clue.

Hell, Guice was actually a success story.
his father was murdered when he was still a kid. Terrible neighborhood, ducking bullets during peewee football, etc.
Turned local hero at LSU.

well, so much for that shit.

According to a S/I article some people at LSU did know, i.e. "diving team coach", (unnamed) "athletic officials", "person who sent email saying the school was aware of the incident", and a "nurse at the LSU Health Center".

A friend of the woman, a member of the women's diving team, reportedly told her coach who then reported it to athletic officials. Someone from LSU later emailed the woman, saying the school was aware of the incident and that she could get treatment at the university health center. While at the center, though, a nurse reaffirmed the woman's decision not to file a report on Guice.
“He’s like a god around here,” the woman recalled the nurse, an LSU employee, saying. “It probably would get pushed under the rug.”

Now now, it's not like anything horrible happened... like trading personal property for tattoos. Now THAT would be some serious shit.
