Don't Immanentize the Eschaton
Anyone know the release date for this game? Game play looks great (as if that is ever an issue for a LOZ game) and I personally like the impressionistic graphics design.

Looks like it will be coming out around the holidays (hopefully this means November in anticipation of the post-Thanksgiving shopping melee):

Any interest in Skyward Sword? Will be getting it on Sunday as I pre-ordered it several months ago. I know it is more of a kids game, but the Zelda franchise is still my favorite.

IGN rated it as the best game ever for the Wii and perhaps the best game in the Zelda series--high praise considering how well Ocarina of Time is regarded.

I will definitely dust off my Wii for this.
I bought the Wii just for games like this one.. it will be added to my vast library of Wii games which is:

Super Mario Brothers Wii
Donkey Kong Country Returns

I would buy Battletoads, Star Fox, and a select few others in a heartbeat if ever released on the Wii.

Haven't ordered it yet, but fully intend to pick it up Sunday and blow off all familial holiday obligations next week. :groove:

How goes the game?

I have not had the time I had hoped to devote to it thanks to work and the wife being sick and having to provide most of the care to my 11 month old daughter. Just finished all of the stuff on Skyloft and am finally ready to descend to the surface world. May pull an all-night gaming session on Wednesday as I can sleep at the in-laws on Thanksgiving.

Didn't get to start until 6:00 on Sunday and I refused to play last night so I could watch the OSU game (that went over very well with Mrs. Katt ).

We have descended and gone through a bit of that, but not too much. Getting back into it tonight.

I'm not sold on the controls yet. Just a bit too finicky right now.

Personally, I really like the controls for the sword. Feels very natural. However, I outright suck at bird flying. Good thing Link is the only one who can win the yellow bird chase, otherwise Groose would have won about 6 times before I finally completed that task.

I was buried in the clouds at the bottom forever before I finally figured out the nose-dip that would help me go upwards without using all of the turbos.
