Loving someone is more... absolute. I suppose it's like this... I love my kids. I am in love with my wife. My kids have my absolute love. My wife, however, has my conditional love. That is to say, and this shouldn't be a surprise to her (or anyone else), she can fuck up bad enough to make me not love her. My kids, on the other hand, will always have my love no matter what they do.
Conditional love (or, being in love), by the way, isnt comparative a "bad" or "lesser" thing.... it's more about the depth of the emotion and the "conditions" I mean some people's relationships survive pretty awful things... while others get divorsed at the drop of a hat...
Spoken like a true woman.
