So the only bowl eligible team that didn't make one was 9-3 Louisiana Tech, who was within a couple of points of taking out Johnny Football and everyone;s darlings Texas A&M. Meanwhile Georgia Tech, who got plunger-raped by Middle Tennessee and finished 6-7, got a waiver to play in a bowl anyway, basically taking their spot. Discuss.

That's disputed by the school...never know for sure. Either way, when you're a team that is from a conference without auto tie-ins, when someone says jump...best to say how high. Still sucks they aren't going somewhere...they're a mich better team than Georgia Tech this year.

Yeah, sounds like something of a shootout offense though...their defense is 116th in the country. Either way it sucks for the players who worked to get to this point.

It sounds like it's a complicated matter, with the La. Tech AD saying they didn't want to play UL-Monroe (rival). All signs point to a pissing match between the two schools, and ULM has even gone so far as to prohibit scheduling La. Tech in any sport.

Bizarre.

Ga Tech took NO ONE'S spot. They're going to an acc tie in bowl, just as they would have if Miami or UNC had gone to the ACCCG.

Karl Malone was quoted as saying that La tech needs former athletes to run their athletic department. "I'm 6 foot 9 and not hard to find".
