Depends on how you look at it. If there is no ACC team available, the spot goes to someone else, which is how at least 6-8 teams made bowl games ( including 3 from the MAC).

Stinks for the Bulldogs, especially with two of the losses coming in a shootout with Texas A&M and another being an OT loss to Utah State. That said, I can't remember when I've seen such a variance in an offensive and defensive ranking. Louisiana Tech is #1 in scoring offense, #119 in defense.
