Louisiana State 2009 Baseball

things could get interesting.
in game one, LSU's starter (Renaudo) really sucked ass with his control. Drilled two piggies in the skull during the game. Crowd made a lot of ruckus over it.

now in game two, the Swine Flu's starter nearly plunks LSU's 2B in the face with a pitch. Crowd cheered wildly.

3-0 LSU bottom 3rd

well gatorubet, this is it.

Tied for 1st @ 16-8 in conference (6 conf. games remaining)
3 game set starting tonight
Friday (7pm) and Sunday (noon) games will be on Cox Sports
Saturday (7pm) on the Sunshine Network

Series winner must keep at least keep pace with Ole Piss (home vs. Miss St) to stay in 1st place.

LSU holds the tie breaker over Ole Piss.
The Rebels and Gators don't meet up this year (not sure how that tie breaker would work).

And the Tigers kick our asses bunches to not so many. Good start for you Nutria. Congrats.

not only that, but every other game involving contenders went our way.
Ole Piss, Arky & UGA all lost as well.
Was a good night for Tiger baseball.

If I heard right, the radio announced it was the largest actual attendance in Alex Box history.

Kid is a beast. I'm happy to get out of there with one.

We win one in the final UK series, or the leg humpers lose one in theirs, and the Gators win the East.

I pretty much figured y'all would take the Sunday game before it even started.
Was just hoping to get enough run support for Renaudo and Coleman.
Those 2 are our studs. We're fortunate to have 2 "ace" quality starters with those guys.
Problem is that the drop off is STEEP after them.
Need more consitency out of Austin Ross if we're gonna make a run in the postseason.

I got faith in y'all for this one.

We've got a Midweek game vs. Centenary (another Louisiana School) on Tuesday

LSU's magic # is 2 to clinch the #1 seed in the SEC tourney, and at least a share of the SEC crown.

Final Weekend of Conference play starts Thursday night, and 4 teams are still alive for the crown.

LSU 18-9 (@ Miss St)
Bama 17-9 (@ Auburn)
Florida 17-10 (vs. Kentucky)
Ole Piss 17-10 (@ R-Kansas)

LSU holds tie-breaker over all 3 teams in contention
Florida holds tie breaker over Bama
Ole Piss holds tie-breaker over Bama & Florida
Bama holds tie-breaker over no-one

That game Bama lost to rain earlier this year may end up being HUGE.
That half a game could end up deciding this thing.

note: Best record is # 1 seed in SEC tourney, winner of opposite division is #2 seed regardless of record.

correction: LSU's magic number is 2.5 to beat Bama
