Louisiana State 2009 Baseball

LSU won the series opener Friday night 5-3.

Yesterday's game was washout by rain (game never even started).

A piar of 7 inning games scheduled for today.
Forecast calling for more rain today, but radar looks a little more promising than yesterday.

The Tigers have stumbled a bit as of late.

yeah, we're in a nasty lil funk. the bats that were absolutely smokin' a couple weeks ago, have been cooled off quite a bit lately.

I'd be happy if we won 2 out of 3 in every conference series, but I'm really hoping we get our shit together and start playing more like we were when the season started.

Congrats Nutria...Tiggers win 11-3 today, taking two out of three from the Cocks.

I'm hoping the last 2 games are a sign of the bats heating up a little.

Might be some changes in our rotation.
Louis Coleman was projected to be our closer, but he has started the middle game of the last 2 series. He may become our full time Saturday starter, with Austin Ross moving to Sundays.

Renaudo will stay on Fridays. He has been lights out so far, just not getting any run support. Hopefully we can quit wasting his performances.

Tigers squeak past Harvard

Maybe they were intimidated by the curriculum :)

BATON ROUGE - Senior Buzzy Haydel tied a career high with three hits, and freshman Tyler Hanover drove in two runs Tuesday to lead No. 2 LSU past Harvard, 4-3, in Alex Box Stadium.

The Tigers improved to 18-5 on the year with the victory in the first-ever meeting between the two squads. Harvard dropped to 2-12.

we are now in a serious funk.

[censored]ing USL of all teams beat us in our ballpark last night 10-9.
Seriously?!!? USL?!!?
What the [censored]?!!?
I would have rathered lose to a goddamn elementary school's PE class than those inbred pricks.

Don't worry partner, Wright State caught the Dawgs looking ahead to a weekend series at Georgia Tech (#3) nationally.
We took a spill last night with multiple errors in the 4th inning.

These things happen in College Baseball. The aluminum bat is the great equalizer.

Well, we swept the 2 game midweek series against Harvard.

Ole Piss came in last night and beat us 7-4 in the series opener.
Today's game is at 3 (central time) and is on TV (DirecTV channel 646) If anyone is interested.

Louis Coleman getting the start. If he is on his game, its worth watching just to see this kid throw.

Whole team is wildly inconsistent right now. So we may score 60 runs this afternoon while hitting 15 bombs. Or we get shoutout on only 3 or 4 hits.
