And Bynum's contract extension.

I think the Jury is still out on that one, right now I don't think his legs can handle playing, if he can stay in good form through next year my mind may change on that one. At least Bynum gave us half a season, Sasha just forgot to show up and Luke hasn't played in a few years now.

It's still a shit load of money for someone unproven.

Sasha shouldn't be in the NBA if he plays like he did last year.

True, but when it comes to centers any time someone shows promise people tend to pour out cash for them, so the Lakers knew that if they wanted to keep the kid they needed to make an offer, not saying it was a good decision, but I am not one to question Jerry Buss, he's done a few things right over the years so I will give him the benefit of the doubt until I see otherwise.

I agree, Sasha's problem is two fold, he thinks he's just a shooter, so he's not willing to pass the ball out, he's not getting the free open looks he once was and has failed to adjust his game. Even in Lukes case, who can shoot when he needs to, he's realized where he can be valuable and that's finding the open guy and passing, too often last year, though, it was Sasha he found, and he was rewarded with a brick.

Yeah, I understand the move, and think at the time it was the right time. He has an extremely high ceiling and will be an all star if he can stay healthy and keep developing. But, at the same time, his quality of play thus far has not warranted that contract.

Took some iPhone video of the ring ceremonies and new banner tonight. Let me know if anyone is interested, and i will try to get them on YouTube and post. If no one cares, I won't bother. I'm definitely not a laker fan myself.
