Impossible to respond to that iron-clad argument, but I'll try nonetheless.

I refuse to believe the Lakers are that bad they would lose to the Rockets in embarrassing fashion in Games 4 and 6, yet turn Games 5 and 7 into romps they way they should. The 'talking heads' use those games (4 and 6) as a reason to discount the championship character of this Lakers team. I don't buy it. The Lakers are who they are in Games 5 and 7. Maybe (?) they didn't lose Games 4 and 6 on purpose, but they certainly didn't care if they won.

or, maybe what they are is an inconsistent team that got to play houston without their best player for half the playoff series.

all you are doing is trying to justify the laker's inconsistencies, which were also there in the 1st round mind you, with some assinine excuse deliberately trying to extend denver's layoff.

So who we gonna play? I think the Cavs are capable of taking game 6, and if they do, they won't lose game 7. It's a give and take.. we lost 0-2 to Orlando but we would have home court, and vice versa with Cleveland.

I just wanna see Kobe vs. LeBron......... for about 5 straight years.

I know, but I think the Lakers have better players around Kobe than the Cavs have around LeBron, especially when Odom plays like he did in games 5 & 6 against Denver.

It'll be a good Finals, though. I can see it going either way.

edit: Dwight Howard is going to be impossible to stop. Gasol generally plays like a pussy against really good big men (see: The 08 Finals), so this worries me a bit. Hopefully Bynum can step up.

Eh, I'd say they do too, but if Orlando shoots like they have against the Cavs, they're gonna be hard to beat. Bynum should be at least better at containing Howard then Z was.
