Los Angeles Lakers (17x NBA Champions)

Couple that with the Lakers being schizophrenic and nothing's for sure. Hell, even without Yao, I'm not entirely confident the Lakers will win this this series; and that hurts like hell to say.

As a Lakers fan, do you find it surprising that a team led by Kobe Bryant shows such a lack of drive and hunger? It just seems weird to me because one of the things that Kobe has always been known for is his killer instinct. It just doesn't seem like that drive has transferred to the rest of the team.

You say that like he's an asset in the team attitude department.

That is definitely one thing that surprises me.

I really wish that Lamar would get his "mean on" and keep it.
I really wish that Luke would act like he was supposed to be out there when he's out there. The kid is a space cadet to me.

I loved the fire that Jordan played with on Friday night. I thought that he was the key to that game.

I find that the roller coaster is quite a ride with these guys. They can either give you a great high, or make you so exasperated you want to hold your head in your hands.

With all that being said, I have to admit that LBJ is dropping my jaw. If it's time for him to take over the reigns as Supreme; then I'll be happy for him. I just didn't think it would be this soon.

They didn't come to play, and that can't all be put on Kobe. The game looked like a complete mess for the LAL. They haven't looked the same thoughout the playoffs as they did during the season. As much as it pains me, I think if the Lakers make it to the finals and play like this they will get murdered by the Cavs. LBJ and crew are rollin'.

Well, I noticed over the series that the smaller lineup for the Rockets tends to frustrate them. It's time for Phil to do some good coaching and prepare the team to win the next two games, and finish this in 6. Tonight felt like the Lakers saw that Yao was gone and figured the Rockets would just mail it in, but there's a huge difference between this Houston team and last years, that's Artest, this team has taken a lot of his toughness.

Yep, Artest is one tough dude. I think he has really rebuilt his image this season. He's still crazy as hell, but now he's crazy in a good way...if that makes any sense. I actually respect the guy now. I wouldn't mind him playing on the Cavs.

Anyway, I still think the Lakers take this series in 6. I have a bad feeling Kobe's gonna go off next game. He could not have been happy about the performance his team just put on.

Lakers just aren't as good of a team last year. Vujacic isn't making everything, Fisher is missing open shots, and Bynum mine as well still be hurt. Even Kobe isn't playing as well. I think Denver beats em' next round if they beat the Rockets.

FIFY

I'm not sure if Denver will beat the Lakers next round, but they're sure as hell gonna give them a fight. Denver is an extremely physical team, and as shown by the Celtics last year, LA struggles mightily against those kinds of teams. As a Cavs fan though, I really hope Denver comes out of the West. They aren't anywhere near as scary as LA to me.

Phil Jackson's adjustments last night were a sight to behold. Especially using a big to shadow Aaron Brooks with help when Fisher was playing him. The Rockets couldn't adjust on the fly. The best thing to see, however, was Bynum's realization that he was being guarded by someone 6'6." He played with the ball up high and easy buckets resulted. Kobe was Kobe, Shannon Brown played well. It looks like this game may be a return to form for the Lakers.

Charles Barkleys rant about the Triangle tonight may have been the funniest [censored] I have heard in years.

What did he say? I'm anxious to know; I turned off the TV at some point in the 4th quarter.

It was also the first complete game that the team has played so far in the playoffs, they stayed focused defensively, got the ball moving around and looked like a championship contender. Hopefully they maintain this energy and close out this series tomorrow.

It was at the half, he was like "Triangle, let me see you talk about how great the triangle is without players, run that Triangle in Memphis and see what happens" Funny shit.
