A few notes about tonight, first off, Roy gets to shove someone and gets no foul? Whatever, also, I feel bad for Rudy, I don't like to see a player get hurt, these guys are trying to entertain us, but that wasn't a flagrant 2, hell it wasn't even a flagrant 1. The fact his that was a play for the ball that hit the top of the head, he wasn't around the neck, he didn't pull Rudy to the ground, he was playing for the ball. A flagrant foul is a foul with intent to harm, and that wasn't there.
Tonight the Lakers lost, actually, a loss would be a game where you showed up to play. Portland was tossing up 3's, up by 20, with 5 minutes to go and laughing at the Lakers as they did it, they ripped the Lakers manhood, then called their wives to tell them they had it.
End score, Lakers 94 Portland 111
For the 7th consecutive Loss for the Lakers in the Rose Garden.
A bigger concern than this game is how the Lakers have played recently, over the last 6 games they are 3-3, and even in their Wins, they have played piss poor. The Celtics and Cavs have given them the chance to jump ahead, but it just feels like the team is tired. Phil needs to get this team together, focused and back to working on the Defense. The beat the good teams by playing defense, tonight, when they started to playing defense, they were in the 4th quarter.
I have concern here, up until tonight I said "win some lose some, we're still doing better than anyone else" but tonight, I felt like they were tired, and they put out too much in the beginning and don't have it to continue.
I hope I am wrong, I hope they get their act together, but they have 2 games agains good opponents coming up, Houston and San Antonio, if they can't pull it together and beat these two teams we're going to see some issues when playoffs come around.
